INDIAN
FACIAL REJUVENATION (Natural Facelift Massage)
We
would all like to stay looking youthful for as long
as possible – and now this can be achieved in
a completely natural and holistic way. This treatment
is a fusion of ancient ayurvedic and modern western
techniques. It was devised by Kundan Mehta (whose
husband, Narendra introduced Indian Head Massage to
the West) and offers a gentle non-invasive approach
to looking younger.
A
wonderful hour-long treatment – suitable for
both women and men - that works gently over every
centimetre of the face, lifting, smoothing, toning,
draining, relaxing and healing. Only fingertips are
used - no oils, potions or lotions.
It
is lovely as a one-off treatment that leaves the recipient
looking and feeling great. However, as the effects
are accumulative, a course of 8 to 10 weekly treatments
is usually recommended to fully appreciate the benefits
– with monthly maintenance treatments thereafter.
The results are subtle – clients usually notice
a tighter feel to the skin, a more toned refreshed
and radiant look, lines softened, under eye bags and
general puffiness reduced, a happier more relaxed
expression.
Apart
from any visual benefits the treatment relaxes on
a very deep level, encouraging the body’s own
healing ability and leaving the client with an increased
sense of well-being.
How
it works:
• Energy
work relaxes and balances
• Activation of Ayurvedic pulses encourages
healing, energises and regulates the skin and helps
to reduce puffiness.
•Gentle repetitive massage movements smooth
and exfoliate the skin, and tone the major muscles
of the face, relaxing tension locally, encouraging
stiffened connective tissue back to mobility and leaving
the skin looking plumped up and firmer.
• Blood circulation is increased locally bringing
oxygen and nutrients to the cells.
• Lymphatic drainage is encouraged, helping
to reduce under-eye bags and general puffiness, discouraging
spots and blackheads and leaving the skin brighter
and more radiant.
To
achieve optimum results facial exercises can be tailored
to the client’s specific needs along with general
lifestyle advice.
AROMATHERAPY
MASSAGE
Using
pure essential aromatherapy oils which are the “life
force and soul” of plants, many symptoms can
be helped. The aromatic oils are extracted from a
single botanical source by distillation or expression
and are found in the flowers, leaves, roots and bark
of the plant/tree. These can relax, uplift and energise.
Both their physiological and psychological effects
combine well to promote health and many symptoms can
be helped such as:
| • |
Allergies
|
• |
Arthritis |
• |
Acne |
|
| • |
Asthma |
• |
Anxiety |
• |
Backache |
| • |
Cellulite |
• |
Depression |
• |
Headaches |
| • |
Insomnia |
• |
Menstrual
problems |
• |
Painful
muscles |
| • |
Stress |
|
|
|
|
We
advise clients to shower before having an aromatherapy
treatment so that you can leave the oils soaking into
your skin for the rest of the evening for a more effective
treatment.
A
15 minute consultation will be given so as to determine
which oils would be most suitable for the clients
current state of being, both physically and emotionally.
A blend will then be made and applied by massaging
gently or deeply (whichever is the clients preference)
onto the skin for a euphoric effect.
 |
The
different oils can uplift, relax, refresh, energise,
or even have a sedative effect. They are all antiseptic
and antiviral so you are instantly boosting your
immune system by having an aromatherapy massage.
A blend will be made to suit your needs and medical
history. |
INDIAN
HEAD MASSAGE
|
This
is an ancient art which is still an every day
tradition in India to alleviate the effects
of stress and tension by inducing deep relaxation,
it assists the body in producing ‘endorphins’-
hormones which block pain and are associated
with feeling good and energised.
Indian
Head Massage works on specific areas of the
body, including the neck and the shoulders,
where stress affects major muscle groups, and
can bring immediate relief. Each treatment works
on the shoulders, neck, scalp, face & upper
arms, and takes no longer than half an hour.
Tensions are eased or eradicated and fibrous
knots and nodules melt away. The efficiency
of the circulatory and lymphatic systems improves,
toxins are dispersed from tense muscles and
flexibility and fluidity of movement is restored.
|
There
is no need to use oils or undress, although easy access
is required to the neck area - the client just sits
in an ordinary chair & relaxes - and treatment
will last around 30 minutes. It also involves working
on the upper 3 chakra’s encouraging energy flow
and releasing any blockages encouraging balance and
harmony.
Indian Head Massage has many benefits both mentally
and physically and can be an aid in preventing certain
problems such as:
migraines,
sinus congestion, eye strain, dandruff, baldness,
insomnia, anxiety & stress. It can reduce depression
an increase concentration as more fresh oxygen and
nutrients are encouraged to flow to the brain. It
also improves circulation and texture and strength
of hair growth.
HOPI
EAR CANDLES treatment
with Indian Head Massage
Hopi
Ear Candles are an ancient healing technique used
by the Hopi Native Indians centred in Arizona, in
the South West of the United States. I include this
technique with an Indian Head Massage for those people
needing some ear treatments or those just interested
in this wonderful ancient process.
How
the candles are said to work:
| The
candle is lit, and gradually its ingredients vaporise
and are drawn, by convection, down the hollow
centre of the candle into the outer portion of
the ear. The herbal vapours circulate within the
external parts of the ear, soothing irritation,
softening wax, stimulating blood supply, massaging
the ear drum by gentle suction, helping the lymph
glands and immune system to function efficiently. |
|
Conditions for which the candles may be helpful:
| • |
Excessive
or compacted ear wax |
• |
Snoring |
| • |
Colds
and flu |
• |
Headaches
and migraine |
| • |
'Glue
ear' |
• |
Noises
in the ear and tinnitus |
| • |
Relief
of stress |
• |
Neuralgia |
| • |
Bell's
Palsy |
• |
Meniere's
Disease |
| • |
'Swimmer's
Ear' |
• |
|
The
cylindrical candles are about 22cm long and 0.5cm
in diameter, and are hollow. They each contain a filter
which prevents residues from the candle from entering
the ear.

HOT
STONE FUSION
 |
Hot
Stone Fusion is a fusion of Eastern and Western
advanced stone techniques, resulting in a seamless
dance of stone and hands-on massage. With deep
healing properties hot stone massage offers
a connection with nature we rarely experience.
Stone massage involves the application of water-heated
basalt stones of varying sizes to key points
on the body, giving a deep massage and creating
sensations of comfort and warmth. The direct
heat relaxes muscles, allowing manipulation
of a greater intensity than with regular massage.
It
really is an amazing experience allowing you
to let go of all the stress that most of us
tend to hold inside. Hot stones fusion massage
produces a relaxation to the body at its deepest
level so is very effective at creating harmony
and positive energy flow. |
For
those who experience this wonderful hot stone massage
an improvement in the following symptoms will be noticed:
| • |
